While we have already covered “less common tune types” it is now time to cover the least common of all the types of tunes you may encounter in a session environment such as: Hop Jigs, Single Jigs, Barndances, Slides and Strathspeys. We will learn how to identity each type of tune and learn the proper way to accompany them using plenty of musical examples. These types of tunes may only account for a small percentage of the common tunes played, however, it is important to be able to distinguish them from other tunes and be able to provide a solid accompaniment.
